Banded Geese

These guys have been hanging around the hood all summer. One group has 4 in it and the last pic was of one outside at work, which is a total of 5 different ones all in the same area.

Pet at work about 3 miles away. You can get real close to him.

Jim,

I rode out @ Country Park in G'boro this wk. and alot of the Geese out there had the same collar on them,I think they are banding them out @ the airport to test the incidents on planes out there?? I'm not sure but if one flies over my spread it's gonna get nailed..

Cool pics man, ive noticed several residents around my neck of the woods with collars this year. Kinda weird..i dont know where they would band them here around Wilmington. And there not migratory.

I would consult BluePrints here on the board. He seems to have a good knowledge on how to handle these types of situations...

Beeman R-1 .177 pellet right to the head! Nobody would even hear the shot. All those dirty buggers need killing! "It's a darn shame when fine animal like a goose becomes a nuisance."

My thoughts were more along the line of 4/0 gamagatsu octopus and some 80lb momoi.
