The area I hunt is a 60,000 acre WMA. Unfortunately the "hunters" that use it are not all stand up guys. This year they busted three groups for hunting with guns in bow season. Dozens of busts for swamp buggies working off the designated areas were written. Ghost gut piles of unchecked game could be found in a lot of places.
Among the no- no's in bow season is having dogs....
A truck leaving last night had two pit bulls hiding under a tarp in the back. When the driver stoped, the dogs jumped out and attacked "Wilbur" the star of my little photo essay. They worked over our pet piggie pretty bad before they coulkd be pulled off. The poor little porker made the woods and hasn't been seen since...
I know how funny it sounds to be a hunter with a heart but damnit that was a cute little bugger... I pray he makes it...
