me llamo SUPER Dave
Anyone draw this year?
Just looked at CO and I drew my elk tag this year.
Sept 12th I'll be at 8500ft. staring at the ceiling of the tent not sleeping a wink.
Who else has a trip planned this year.

Considering one now, cant decide on Muy Grandes in Iowa or Caribous in Canada. Oh well, I guess it could be worse.

Won't know for another week - trying for a Southern Wyoming Antelope tag for October. Draw is July 7th.

we struck out on Wyoming elk and then New Mexico elk, might be a blessing since I wasn't going to be able to drag the cast through the Rockies. I will still hunt whitetails, I have been fortunate over the years to take several while dragging the plaster through the woods. I used to climb with a Baker tree stand, one foot strap in the middle of the stand, long leg cast hanging out to the side. Scares me now to think about that stand slipping cause while I had the desire, I didn't have the common sense to wear any fall restraint.

Congrats Dave,
Maybe after your elk hunt you might want to drive over to Utah and visit some old friends. Once in a Lifetime sheep hunt, gonna be fun. Just tempting you. :-)

Put in for Montana Elk every year. No go this year. It is a every other year tag if you put in every year. Unless you go with a guide.....Next Year!! Mark

Cockpit Monkey In Training
If Dave has any sense, he'll drive to Utah and tag along on that sheep hunt! An experience he'll never soon forget. Nor will his elk hunt be either. I'm headed to SW Ontario for Whitetails around Rainey Lake and Lake of the Woods, then to WCentral Illinois for whitetails after chasing them in MD for 3 months! Then it's home to lay the smak down on some ducks and geese. The Shorthair is screaming for a ringneck/sharpie/hun trip too, but we'll have to see on that one! The want may outrun the wallet this year. And we all know that don't work. As for failing to draw, well that was sheep in Wy, ID, MT, CO, UT, AZ, NV, elk in WY and AZ. Maybe next year.
Good Luck to all! Especially Peerow!! Hope you smak a monster!!!
Doug
