Another Rutting Buck...
Killed in Northampton Co., NC. Got up early this morning, headed up to my Grandparents small farm. I got there a little later than I wanted to, it was already starting to get light. I could see there was a deer already standing in the field that I would be hunting. From a distance, I couldn't tell how big, or if it was even a buck or not. I did my best to sneak up within range to make a shot, sat down on the ground and did my best to steady on my knee. This was a little bit harder to do when I saw the deer was sporting a little head-gear!
But with a combination of skill and luck, my Weatherby .270 put 'em in the dirt!
