Black powder season is on top of us here in Florida... The last couple nights I greased and cleand the dirty one and played with all the stuff... All the while, memories of last years opening morning smack down passed through my mind. How vivid the memories were. Not so much of of the blamming and carnage, but the 300 yard hike back to the car after each shot to clean the bore out and reload.
Right in the instruction book that came with the gun it mentions that you MUST clean it after each shot UNLESS you are using POWER BELT bullets which run much cleaner... That paragraph gnawed at me and after fishing today I was chummed right into Gander Mountains slick... I shoot 295 grain sabot now... So at least I went with 295 in the power belts...
Now heres where my question comes from... I have not sent one of these down range from my gun. Dont know how straight they fly. Don't know how hard they hit... Season starts for me in a few hours and I have not tried one out. Am I making a mistake by switching to them last minute?
