    After a bad day

Well yesterday was one of those days. Got to the ramp put the boat over and nothing. Fulled around with the cables and still nothing. Traded batterys and you guessed it slow turn on the motor. Must not be living right I thought. Decided to trade boats. Got to that boat and 0 cranking amps on her.. Saw my friends boat in port across the creek and looted his battery. Finally got a boat running in the greater currituck area. Not to mention no wind and sunshine. Finally got the fellas out there at 8 am .Killed one duck and made a deal with my boys "COME AN!!!" Thanks Mike you guys are great.I still had a blast even though my morning tried to spoil the day..

Well this morning I got going and everything went smooth. They should have known better today...I was in full kill mode. They were going down as they would say...35 minutes to be exact.Widgeons ,mallards , and Gadwalls.Just two of us this am and decided to get out of there as they were still coming hard when we left.Going to save her for a merry christmas present to me...

Karl....not sure how I missed this post....what started off as a frustrating morning ended up being a pretty decent day..no ducks killed to speak off, but plenty of laughs in the blind....save some of them ducks for us when we return late january

Last week hunting was great.. Every day produced 14 + ducks untill 10:30 - 11:00 and as many as 23.Some big groups of widgeon where welcomed and had as many as 60 light us up .Pretty impressive for the widgeon duck. Teal mallards widgeon gadwalls and I even killed a banded canvasback last week. The boys shot at the thing 5 times before I could not stand it anymore. Rolled over and I saw the jewlery. Only thing you can still read is a U on the band. Anyway yesterday the heat wave started and we killed 3 ducks and crippled one other. What a diffrence weather makes...Hit the timber this a.m and had some luck on our side and took advantage of what we got. Mallards and a woodie. Then the boys wanted to swan hunt and they had 3 permits. Tied out shortly after lunch in a weat field and the boys made short order killing 3 swan in 7 minutes.Pretty work and glad it worked that way in 75 degree heat. Thanks.

Pretty work while swatting skeeters Karl. We hunted the tide this afternoon and didn't even pull the trigger. Saw turtles sunning on a log today and we had to break ice Sat.

Hang in there karl. It has been hit or miss with us all season long. I am sure that you know that everything gets better toward the end of month. The ice sure had them concentrated up last week.
