I hope so too, each day that goes by it seems like people are switching to the idea that it is a Wolf. The more people that come aboard, the more likely they will let the truth out. The chances of the animal being a hybrid in my opinion is just too low.

Great to hear that you are going to hunt Wolves in Minnesota, maybe you might get a scatter 140 pounder. Maybe in the next few years I'll be at it if this keeps up. Do you know how long it took for Wolf hunting to be legal in Minnesota?

Our Fox, Caribou and Rabbit populations are not at it's best right now, especially the Fox. I heard in Yellowstone that the introduction of Wolves actually solved many problems caused by Coyotes. Wolves would kill Coyotes, and then since the Fox were direct competitors with Coyotes their population rose.

So maybe the government looked at the situations going on in Yellowstone, and saw it as a possible way to fix the Coyote problem.

I think that if Big Game could live in harmony with Wolves on the Island 70 years ago, they should be able to do so once again. Although that's just what I think, the Moose population is a bit out of control anyway. I agree that for Big Game Hunters like myself Wolves on the Island will have some degree of effect on Big Game populations which could lower quota, but do I think they will wipe them out, absolutely not.

Caribou may be a different situation altogether. The Caribou herds are dealing with a brain worm infestation which is rather fatal. If Wolves are notorious for going after the weak and sick, maybe they could solve the infestation that is plaguing the herd.

I took that into account with your first post. Funny thing is, every time Man try's to introduce another anumal to "take care of" the "last"one He introduced, it just keep's getting worse and worse. "Trouty", don't give NYBH another thought, he's reall all "mushy" inside!!!!!!! Frank
