Question 4 by 4 Quads Do you Ride?

I am in the process of working with a friend of mine at Deptford Honda Yamaha and 4 by 4 quads is the topic.

I need to know if many of you ride or have them for fun and or hunting.

Reality is if enough people around here use them or have interest in them I may have something really interesting for all of us.

    Thanks in advance

I hate Quads in the woods.

Get off your lazy ass and walk.

they are the scourge of the woods, in my opinion.

Too many people "hunting" off of them, it is actually Ileagle (and very unethical) to shoot from one.

You know what they say about opinions though.

sorry, but I guess I am one of those that don't like them. They are like the PWC's to me, when used properly with common sense they would be fine. But why is it the majority (not all) seem loose all common sense and respect as soon as they crank the things? The quads are very destructive to the land sometimes with only one pass but especially when repeat trips are made. I have riden them when outfitters used them on hunts I have been on and had no problem with them then. I have quite a bit of poaching troubles on two leases I have and 90% of that comes in via quad. Don't get me started about the PWCs buzzing me while I am fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a group of us that ride in WV a few times a year. 90% are 4x4 guys. I have a Kawasaki Brute Force. Hardly use them when Im hunting unless to drag a big deer out or to pull the trailer of decoys across a field. This last trip to Hatfield Mccoy trails (WV), there was 35 quads that went up. What you workong on?

I have a Yamaha 660 Grizzly that I use for pleasure and hunting. I use it on private property so it has no impact on others.

    Sorry

Sorry to poop on the thread right out of the gate.

I don't hate quads per se, actually I am an avid 2 wheel rider, both in the dirt and on the hard, I ride my beemer to the boat every day it is not raining.

Like anything they are abused and give all riders a bad name.

I have a bitter taste for them in the woods, when I was in high school in WV they hit the seen and every asshole on the planet seemed to have one and ruined alot of my good deer huntin.

Anyway, sorry and like anything, a few buttheads give all quads a bad name.
