Nice read Dave.
I even found myself reading in a very low voice in my head. like i would if i were in a blind somewhere talking to someone.........or myself.
I couldn't take arguing politics on the internet any longer so I hit the trees. I'm 25' up in a poplar tree and there's a very light intermittant drizzle. John is in the stand from yesterday about 100 yds to my right.
There's an occasional gust from the NE up to about 10knots and there's a hawk harrassing some squirells out in front of me somewhere. I forgot a darn bow hook today so wish me luck, I hope I don't drop it.
The skeeters are out something fierce. Let's hope the deer move too.
Neither one of us saw a thing tonight, but it was still a nice night in the woods. The rain started just as we called it a night. The bow is hung up until Monday.
I'm back in the camera stand this morning to try and replay last Thursday morning. It's nice and clear and the chirping of bugs is deafening. Theres a light north wind and we passed a few deer in the fields on the way here.
In the pre dawn twilight an owl crashed through the trees and nabbed himself a nice morning squirrel snack. Since then it's been nice and quietan except for the crows that kust starting chatting up a storm.
It looks like the deer from thursday morning isn't a creature of habit.
