Brought the chair today and my ass is still asleep. I have the shoot through mesh open do the camera can focus, and the chair forced me to move too much to get a shot. I really need my turkey stool.

It's nice and cool and I haven't seen a thing. I don't think my watchout has either or he would have called. I wonder if the deer are gonna be waiting for me in the yard again?

Let me know if you ever need a lookout or someone to do video. I can jump outta work early pretty easily the next few weeks.

Damn it.....11 deer(1 1.5yr old 6 pt.) made it out into the yard at around 6:45 and the look out gave me a call. Sure enough they're on the persimmons and crossing the fence a good ways from the stand. I set the ground blind in the backyard w/ some leyland cypress as a back drop.

If they repeat their performance from this morning(via homeowner report). I'll be lobbing some carbon by about 7am.

I'll have about 3o yds to walk from the truck tomorrow to get in the blind.

I didn't see a thing down in the woods. Barely a damn squirrel.

Paul...are you hunting at Erin's G-ma's?

Negative on her G-ma's. Erin's aunt convinced her that I should "leave the deer alone." Needless to say I wasn't happy, but there's nothing I can do about it. So, it's back to public land for me. The WMA by my house, and Liberty Reservoir should do. I was planning on hitting Liberty Thursday after work.

I don't know why, but I'm headed to the ground blind for a morning sit. The deer were there yesterday by 7am so maybe they'll show up again. It's in the high 40's here, and if worse comes to worst, I'll just take a nap.

stay tuned.

Well that was nothing but cold.

Saw a few tree rats and a few crows. I did hear a bunch more persimmons fall and will be there by 6:00 this evening.

It's gonna be windy and rainy for two days so hopefully they'll feed well.

Here we go again. The ground blind is still set in the yard w/ a favorite persimmon tree @ 30 yds and another @ 6 yds.

There's a little NE wind gusting now and again, and there should be rain by morning.

I've gone high tech today and am using the camera's viewfinder to watch the fenceline for me. It will block my movement from the corner it is in long enough for me to get square and set for a shot.

It was 6:50 last night when they entered the yard. Let's hope they do it again.
