1st day of rifle season in Powhatan, Va which is West of Richmond. Not the best of the weather which started raining until about 7 am and then winds of 15-20 with gusts of 25, high 60's temp, and then a hard rain shower @ 3 pm for about 15 minutes. I hunt with the Five Forks Hunt Club which does runs dogs. We ended the day with 1 three pointer, 2 sixes, and a nice 20 5/8" 8 point. Waaay down first day kill but with the weather the way it was I guess we were lucky we got what we did. Big buck was killed by Darrell. Hunting Mon & Tues. and we'll see what we do.
