1 More Day

1 More Day till the powder will be burning. 2 of our 3 fields are absolutly loaded so tuesday and Wed will be great. Got the .410 ready for action. Goal is to get the new Fed limit of 15 with hopefully 1 box, but will be happy with 1 1/2 boxes.

Still can't convince Pino that Dove Hunting is as good as Bill Fishing, especially with the bight we had yesterday, but to me September 1st is one of the best days of the year.

Good luck tomorrow. Our field was LOADED late last week, but hasn't looked too darn good the last two days. This eve was ok, so we'll see what happens.

I got a fresh case of 20ga. today. My buddy is shooting his sweet 16. He's also bringing along his 9 yr old nephew to see what it's all about.

I'll be sure to post a report.

Our first day was quite slow. Weather was beautiful and the company was good, but I barely have enough dove to even mess with. Gonna try tomorrow and hope things are a little different.

Yeah Dave....Things where much slower than we anticipated based on the number of birds last week. We did manage to scrape up a few and dad got close to a limit while I was his bird dog. I did manage a couple. Good times had by all. We are resting the fields till Saturday to give the kids a good chance and hopefully they will move back in good.

Not thats a fine mess of eatin there... I have one way I do mine which is wrapped with a sice of bacon and orange juice maranade... Do you have any other recipies you care to part with?
