'09-10 Waterfowl Regs
The Feds have extended the duck season this year until Jan. 30. Each state has the option to set limits and Seasons within the Federal guidelines. Virginia has set it's waterfowl seasons already and has pushed back our season to end Jan. 30. This is great news for Diver hunters and depending on the severity of the winter, should benefit most puddler hunters as well.
NC hasn't set its seasons yet but I would expect it too will push its season back to Jan.30 On other notes: We got our Canvasbacks back ( 1 per day), 2 Redheads, 2 Scaup, and still only 1 Pintail. My boys are stringing up the goose plugs and getting ready for the Sept. early season limit of 10 per day. I imagine there will be alot of sweltering carnage in the 95 degree heat come 9/1. |
