My Dad did... He used to take me fishing instead of to the movies or Chucky Cheese like he told my mom he was going to. When I was, 5 I caught the junior girls world record bluefish of 20pounds. Dad got busted by my Mom that day and heard about it til I was ten . I like fishing with my cousins Ted and Nick. My neighbor friend Nicole has a few world records. Dad says we'll attack the rercord books next trip to the keys

Boat: 30' Albemarle
Best Catch: this weird rash
Occupation: Financial Rep/Clam Inspector
My grandfather and my father. My grandfather was the one who got me started. Bought me my first "fishin pole" as i called it. MY first fish was a perch in Verona Lake, Verona NJ. He passed away when i was 4. Miss ya grandad.

My father was always into boats. He and my grandfather (his father in law, mentioned above) would always go fishing. My father didn't really know how to fish, but my grandfather did. My father owned the boat and knew about that end. We always use to fish off our pleasure boats. About 10 years ago we made our first trip offshore to the 28 mile wreck on our 1987 Sea Ray Amberjack. Didn't catch much but some peanut dolphin, bonito, falsies, and bluefish. We were hooked. I took care of the rigging, my father drove the boat, and my little brother was there to lend a hand. Then my father purchased a 30' Custom Express with twin diesels. It was a piece of crap wet boat, but it got us there. Boated my first YFT on that boat.

Then in 2002, my pride and joy. My father purchased a 2001 30' Albemarle Express with twin Cat 3126's on the condition that i would charter the boat, maintain it, and act as the captain. Shortly after I obtained my Captain's License (OUPV 50 Ton to 100 miles). Licensed Coast Guard Captain at the age of 21 (i am 22 now). I have captained 50' + Converts, all the way down to instructional lessons for new boaters on 30' Chapparals.

Slung 100 lb. + tuna over the rails, boated 200 lb. swords, raised 500 lb. Blues, been tied to the other end of Giant BFT, and released a dozen or so white marlin. Everything in between.

I know my grandad would be proud of me today, and i owe it all to him and my father.

My grandfather got me into it as soon as I could hold a rod. I was catching snappers and small stripers in the Manasquan River. After he passed my uncle took over teaching me and at 9 years old he took me to the edge. what a nite that was, catching my first tuna at around 3 A M. Now the students teaching the master a few new tricks.
