Thursday night Drum

Daddy picked me up early from school on Thursday to go try for some stripers and drum. We were fishing by 2 for some stripers. We fished for maybe 4 hours, but had no luck.

Then we went out for some drum. Not 5 minutes after the baits were in the water, we hooked up. I brought the first one to the boat after a good fight. We continued to be red hot for the last 3 hours. The last bait in the water was my lucky bait. I hooked up with a nice fish, and it gave me the longest fight of the day. We boated the fish at first sight. It was pretty big!

We weighed the fish the next day. I had caught a 57lb. Black Drum! My biggest ever!

It was 8-9lbs. away from being a record for me, but that's O.K.!

I still had so much fun!

great job on the drums i was with john when you guys came in we hit the tunas pretty good glad to see you like fishing so much keep at it next time get some pics

I'm glad that you guys found the fish. Last seasone we only went out maybe 5 times, butwe didn't have any luck. The fish just weren't there!

We'll try to get some pix next time!
