Thursday night Drum

Daddy picked me up early from school on Thursday to go try for some stripers and drum. We were fishing by 2 for some stripers. We fished for maybe 4 hours, but had no luck. Then we went out for some drum. Not 5 minutes after the baits were in the water, we hooked up. I brought the first one to the boat after a good fight. We continued to be red hot for the last 3 hours. The last bait in the water was my lucky bait. I hooked up with a nice fish, and it gave me the longest fight of the day. We boated the fish at first sight. It was pretty big! We weighed the fish the next day. I had caught a 57lb. Black Drum! My biggest ever! It was 8-9lbs. away from being a record for me, but that's O.K.! I still had so much fun!

I'm glad that you guys found the fish. Last seasone we only went out maybe 5 times, butwe didn't have any luck. The fish just weren't there!
