I just bought a St. Croix Triumph 5'6 rod. If you are looking for an ultra light that is very affordable and has a good feel consider it. You can get a 5'0 or 5'6 ultra light. They are two piece rods that cost around $50. They come with a 5 year warranty. If you have any questions about the rod I will answer them.

Hw523, welcome to the site. Looking forward to reading your reports. I love my Saint Croix rods and I have that one that I throw 17MR MirrOlures with. Look at the Dawia reels, thave have one that will fit that rod well for about $22.00, not the best for salt water but if you take care of it, it will last you for some time. I keep 20 pound braid on mine...
