Son's officially a billfisherman
Here's the score card Tom Jr. (Me) 1 sailfish (released) 4 tarpon to 90 lbs (released) 1 mutton snapper 1 almaco jack (released) 1 barracuda (released) John William (JW) 3 sailfish 45 lbs, 60 lbs, 45 lbs (tagged and released) 1 white marlin 50 lbs (tagged and released) 11 tarpon to 100 lbs (released) 5 mutton snapper 6 dolphin to 15 lbs(mahi) 1 kingfish When we got home, he wrote his list of 9 billfish species and crossed of the white and the sail. He's already asking to go again and cross another species off. |

The white surprised us too. It did hit a kite bait, and in 125' of water. Shallowest white we have ever caught. Watching him light up and hit the bait with his dorsal exposed was awesome.
