Sam's First Fish!
Last night my friend Sam and I went to the American Idol concert, and we weren't up for an early morning,so we slept a little later and decided to take a late morning flounder trip. Up at 8, pick Sam up at 8:30, and at the marina by 9. It was a nice treat this morning to see Grady and his little brother playing in the shop. We ran out to Reef Site 11, and found some nice flatties early on. Then we made a move to the Old Grounds, and again found some nice action. All of us were catching fish. Sam caught her first fish, a flounder, that was a nice keeper. Sydney was so excited when he caught his nice 3 1/2 pounder. We had lots of fish all day, probably 60 throwbacks and 13 keepers.
I know that everyone had a lot of fun, and I know that Sam loved it! Hopefully we can get her out there again sometime soon. We saw a bunch of porpoises today and a few swam right under the boat and I could've reached out and touched them if I wanted to! All in all, it was an awesome day, but when can I squeeze in an overnighter!
