What a proud day for a father !
Yesterday Capt Kobey from Bunkerhead.com and Mike Chic a good friend of mine took my 4 year old son out on the bay for the night time bite.
Well we got my son Colby a new rod and reel we thought he could handle and hope to fine a smaller class fish for him to do battle with his new set up. Thank you http://hinchmarina.com for helping me find a outfit that works for him.
First bass came on a spinning rod and Capt Kobey set up on it and we got little Colby in the game. He really shocked us all with his hard work and he did pretty well on a big set up. Fish was about 30 inches.
Next Colby’s new rod starts screaming and Capt kobey sets up on a big fish. Well his little set up was screaming but we stood him on the cooler and he cranked to for what seemed to be ½ hour lol . He did not want to give up and the fish kept taking line away. Fish was boated and measured around 36 inches.
Well that was it for Little Colby he hit his limit and jumped up in the wind shield section of the boat and wrapped in a blanket he went to bed.
Capt Kobey caught another fish then we called it a night when the fog rolled in.
My son slept the whole way back even why we cleaned up the boat. Woke him up for pictures and headed home.
Made a pit stop at Mc d’s and he ordered a kids meal. Got the kids meal handed back to him and he was asleep before he opened the bag lol
I really want to thank Mike chic and Capt Kobey of http://bunkerhead.com for helping my catch my 4 year old son his first big bass.
Takes a lot of patients and I thank you both.
