left the dock at 2 in the morning got out there started trolling. had 2 lines in and the first rod i put out (red iland lure with ballyhoo) was 20 feet behind the boat on a flatline and then the clip snapped and we fought the fish for about an hour and the line broke, it dumped half the spool on a 50 we think it was a bigeye because it was so early. kept on trolling, caught a nice cow mahimahi at about 10 and at noon we caught 2 small yellow fins, they were in the same spot as the fish we hooked in the morning and the water temp went up 10 degrees in 7 hours! at 1 we went home
ended up 2 for 3 on tuna and a mahi!

you dont understand lol it went from me to steve to matt back to me and then to jeff! 4 people on this fish lol, if the line didnt snap or anything else went wrong, we would have been on this fish for at least 2 hours, when the line snapped it took jeff 5 minutes to real in the line!
yes when we had this hook up we were trolling down the east wall on some numbers we were given the day before.

I hear ya man, i've had big fish that just kicked everyones a$$ on the boat. Big bruiser tuna are the toughest fish to fight. last summer we hooked up to one that we fought for 3 hours
tough but fun right!
