Kitty Hawk, NC ASA World Championship Striper Tourney

Just for starters, I had sooo much fun at this tournament!

Our friend flew my dad and I down in his plane. I got some great pics of the shoreline, and I'll post them!

Day 1:
My dad and I fished on the Rockhound along with Curtis Berkendine, Steve Weaver (a.k.a. Thumbs), and Captain Lance Rowe (a.k.a. CAPTAIN CUTIE ) Made the long run up above the CBBT. We wanted to troll but the better fish seemed to be up the bay, so we decided to eel. The bite was slow. We had 3 bites and caught 3 fish up to 39.3 pounds (a new personal best for me) . At the end of the day we were in 5th place.

Pics to follow... but the computer is telling me that the pics are to big, so I'll deal with that later.

Day 2:
Again, we made the long run, of 105 miles, up the bay. The bite was slow and we had probably 12 bites and caught 7 fish. All between 15 and 29 pounds. At the conclusion of the 2nd day we were in 7th place.

Day 3:
Team Rockhound took a break. Went back to Hooters to catch the end of the weigh-ins, and stayed for awards. Rockhound placed 9th overall and Curtis and I placed 2nd for Junior. At the end of the day, my dad and I (Team Mod Squad) had won Division 2 and I took Division 2 Junior.

Thank you to everyone who makes these tournaments happen. My dad and I have so much fun and I'm sure many other people do to! Thanks to everyone at Hooters, at the Rotary Club, in ASA, and Capt. Lance!
