    Thumbs up I'm so EXCITED!

It's Spring Break and I'm loving every minute of it! We're going to the Florida Keys and while everyone else sits on the beach or lounges by the pool, I'm going to be catching up the fish! I've never done this type of fishing before, but it's never to late to start, right? I hope I'll be able to catch lots of big fishies! I hope I'll have some pics to post when I get back! FLORIDA HERE I COME!

I kept track of most of the fish we caught. We must have caught almost 120 small yellowtail snappers, my younger brother Sydney and I both caught our first Spanish mackerals (or has he would call them Spanish macaronis). I also caught my first baracuda! The most exciting fishing experience of the trip was when we saw a 5ft. long black tip or white tip reef shark right near our dock, we didn't know which one it was. The very first day we saw him I was fishing by myself on the boat, tied to the dock, when everyone else went inside. I was just about ready to pack it in, when my bobber disappeared, the fight was on, for about 2 seconds. The shark wrapped around a piling and broke the line. It wastime for dinner, so we headed in. We never saw him again. The second to last day we saw to nurse sharks circling the dock. We put out a bait and got down to business. The bait wasn't in the water more than 5 minutes before a 5ft. long nurse shark took our bait. We had him on for about 3 minutes before he spit the bait. We put out more baits, but he never bit again. I had an awesome trip, and we had so many firsts. Snorkeling, fishing, and you can't forget swimming in the pool. I hope everyone else had a safe spring break!

    P.S.

Did I mention that the flight lost our fishing rods! I was devastated!
I also forgot to tell about the treasure chest we found while we were snorkeling. We couldn't bring it with us though because we were snorkeling in protected waters!

That sounds like a great trip Ann. Did the airline ever find your fishing rods?

Hey Ann, Can't wait to see the pics from your trip, especially of Sydney's "Spanish Macaroni"! Talked to your Dad for a few today and he said you should be getting your rods in this tonight. Hope it all works out well. If not, Danny said he'll bring his gear out for you guys this weekend; he's ready to defend ModSquad's title!!!

BTW, we have the scales waiting for your next striper and drum!!!
