West Coast shad (3-6 lbs) on 4lb test and ultralight noodle rod. They look like a baby tarpon and get sky high when hooked.

Winter run steelhead in fast water

Inshore----Striped bass

I live in New York and im only 13 and i havent gone fishing for marlins, sharks, mahi mahi or any other large game fish.

Inshore- Pompano in FL.
Offshore- Recently caught a 36in. blue fish and there good tasting, but stripe bass taste better.

Fighting blue fish i think is better then fighting stripe bass.
I caught a 36in blue fish and a 28in stripe bass. Blue fish jump a lot and there more dangerous because they have sharp teeth and have been known to attack individuals near schools of bluefish. Stripe bass are awsome but no teeth.

Big spot tails in the SC barrier island surf. We really caught them this fall, usually within 50 ft of the hill. When you have the island all to yourself it's a fine thing.
