Carp fishing! Carp fishing? Well heck yeah I have been Carp fishing. Since I was old enough to sneak over to the lake as a kid. We would go fishing for Bream and Catfish and on the really good days we would catch a carp or two. Let me tell you how we did it.
You are gonna need a couple pieces of white bread. Perhaps a slingshot or pellet gun too.(for the ducks)
First we would throw the crust pieces into the water to get the bream fired up good. Always had to run the ducks off because they think it's for them, that's where the slingshot comes in. Then you just throw a doughboy on a hook with no weight out in the bread crust chum slick. When the line speeds up stick it to em. Mostly caught cats and bream but when the Carp show up you will know it. If you see the big ole carp slurping the chum put a piece of crust on the hook that will float with the chum. The Carp will slurp it down and it's game on. Best of luck and be careful.

We want to hear the reports too!
That sounds like a lot of fun!
Man, bringing back memories!
I grew up fishing for carp. Carp was "big game" when we were kids.
I did things a little different then HOLWACHAGOT but same idea. We would go buy a couple can's of whole kernel corn. Open up two cans and spread the corn all around us in the water. Chuck it out there good. Wait a bit and sure enough. The carp would come lumbering along. Big ones too. Just take some kernels, put it on a hook with some split shot and have fun. If the carp are really finicky, take an egg sinker, thread it on the line ABOVE a small barrel swivel. Tie a little heavier leader down to the hook and snell it on. That way the carp has a chance to pick the bait up without feeling the weight. A lot of times they feel the weight if you use split shot and will drop it.
Don't be afraid to get yourself a little heavier tackle too! Perhaps maybe something capable of holding 15-20# test line. We had a few carp back then tipping the scales at 20-30 lbs.
Have fun!
Ya tell me about it my friend told me about these fish and there amazing and a blast to catch thing is where i live you haved to know where they are.
