Bummed Kinda

I'm so disappointed I couldn't go fishing this week, Fluking is good up in Rhode Island and I am stuck here having my High School Graduation tonight, what a waste of valuable fishing time.

I know how you feel! I missed the captain's meeting for the 3rd Annual Cape May Shark Tournament because I had 8th grade graduation! It's kinda bitter sweet, but congrats on your graduation!

I don't want to hear any whining out of either of you.

Just wait till you are married and have kids on the way.

Congrats to both of you on your graduations. Have a great summer and catch em up.

I AM PROUD OF THE BOTH OF YOU....BUT I MUST AGREE WITH CKON.....THE GRADUATION CEREMONY ...DIPLOMA ETC....THE SILLY VISOR HAT THEY MAKE YOU WEAR....IS A WASTE OF TIME IMO....SCREWS UP A PERFECT WEEKEND....PUT THE DIPLOMA IN THE MAIL LIKE THEY DID WHEN THEY MAILED A NOTE TO YOUR PARENTS WHERN YOU SCREWED UP AT SCHOOL....

INSTEAD OF WASTING MNEWY ON A GRAD' CEREMONY ....THE SCHOOL SYSTEM SHOULD MAIL A CHECK FOR $50 TO EACH GRADUATING STUDENT AND LET THEM MOVE ON!!!

YOU GUYS HAVE FUN THIS SUMMER

ANN I WILL SEE YOU IN JERSEY IN AUGUST

Box,

You hit the nail on the head! I think the school system should have a special program for the fisherman of our society.

Point 1: all fisherman who are enrolled in school should have break days; yes, school is important, but so is that break in the Wilmington that probably won't be there by the time the weekend rolls around!

Point 2: all fisherman who are enrolled in school should have weather days; for those days when it's blowing 5-10 and seas are 1-2, you know exactly what I mean: when you think it just couldn't get any better, ya those days.

Point 3: all fisherman who are enrolled in school should have boatshow/seminar days; just like a normal education, it is important that we, as fisherman, attend classes, just like any normal student. In order to keep up with new curriculums, or in our case, tackle and techniques, we need to attend these important shows and seminars, just as teachers attend workshops.

and I didn't forget those fisherman who aren't enrolled in school, because these days should also be implied for: mothers and fathers, as well as fisherman who have prior engagements that we like to call jobs.

Now, if I could just get my principle to take a look at these points!

ANNGLER for president - Weather Days sounds like a great thing. I'd love to be able to "call in well" when the forecast is great and the fish are chewing

Wow I had all of those days. I am looking forward to see my attendance record for this year, I missed tons of days for fishing and going to fishing shows, I think I was out for 30+ days this year none were due to being actually sick.
