Another Record! On Clean Sweep!

Just got a call from Capt Timmy and Anngler (Ann Unsworth) may have just set another world record for Black Seabass. Once I get the photos and the rest of the info & PICS I'll post them up! I do know this, she caught a 6½ lb and Ann might have a line record also! Mary from Hinch's is sending me pics.

Now it's time for my version of the story! The day started with a nice ride out, then on the first drop of the day, I brought up my record! Since I had my record early in the day, I just got to bring up more sea bass and hope to get a bigger one! We ended-up with our limit by 10:30, so we ventured out to get some tilefish! My dad was the first one to hook-up but the n lost the fish! Then Capt. Timmy hooked-up and brought in a nice sized tile! Finally, our friend Tom and I hooked-up! Tom brought his dogshark up and got my spirits down a little, but then, my mystery fish started fighting back, and I got really excited! I fought and fought and finally brought my 2, tail-wrapped dogsharks to the boat! I was so disapointed because the is no record class for juniors for tilefish, so I would have made a new record class! In the end we had an awesome day! Hopefully I'll get out there again soon and get my tilefish!

I didn't know that I made the post on my dad's name!

big sea bass live in NC as well. A 6+ was caught earlier this fall in Morehead and many 5+ are caught every winter offshore. Most of my "big" bass 3lbs + have come in the winter and spring from the Frying Pan tower area. I had a 4.5 eat a live 10" vermilion snapper once, while grouper fishing!

By the way, great catch Anngler!
