Not sure if any of our SFC brotherhood are down here or not but I'm sportin sword wood and am planning either Wed or Thurs run at them... Stuff the charter stuff. Cover some of my fuel and bait and we'll make a go of it. The bite is on boys!
Don't make me do a solo run on my skiff again! The last time I got this feelin it involved a solo tripple and wore my ass out... I far prefer barking commands and stuff to turnin the cranky thing so if someone is down here and wants to go drop me a note! Last edited by Deep C; 09-04-2006 at 01:20 AM. |

Early Jan is butt deep in sails... A little known bite we have here then cause everyone is sailfishing is that of some blue marlin out deep. That gets better as the sails slow a bit later in the month. Of course the swords are here thick then too. If Admin sends his boat down that girls born to drift and can way expand the fishable weather window. My boat gets squirelly on the drift in anything over 3 foot. John's boat is comfortable way past that.

No ... I'm not talking those special nights... We do get a feww of them with the cold fronts. Its ok to sail fish by day in but swordin is out. Actually that big water is neat here. There is usually a solid edge you can work one side is 10' and we often work that down sea and the other side (just out of the stream) is only like 4' so thats where we do the upsea, turnin and fish fightin in.
What I'm talkin about is a lot of nights are like 2-4'. When they get to 4' my boat is way uncofortable on the drift. Johns rig is just dandy all the way to like 6 foot... |
