Caveman Sportfishing: Small parties for canyon tuna-swords Oct 23-26 from Cape May

We are going to run at least one 24 hour make-up trip next week Oct 23-26 to the southern canyons. You will be fishing on the 50' HOOKED UP I out of Cape May, NJ and we are the closest port in NJ to southern canyons with about a 3 hour boat ride to the tuna grounds where the best bite has been the last few days on tuna and swords. We take 6 max so there will be plenty of room for those that might want to join us. We are not sure which day we will go as it depends weather mostly. Right now the long term weather looks good for those dates. We have a few anglers already signed up and ready to go and need a few more to join the us. Departure around noon and returning 24 hours later. We will be fishing for tuna, swords & wahoo mostly. We will be doing a lot of jigging for those interested in tuna fishing this way and on our last trip caught all the tuna the charter wanted by 4:00 am on almost all jigs. We supply all custom equipment and have 25 different rod and reel combinations on board for all types of canyon fishing. We have 4 of the new 16 series lightweight reels with spectra and mono top shots on board for those that would like to fish with what we feel is the reels of the future. Picture of this past Tuesday's trip on the HOOKED UP out of Cape May with almost all our tuna caught on hammered diamond jigs. We easily could have caught many more tuna but the charter had all they wanted and opted to target early am swords in the deeper water.

Looking at the offshore weather forecast t looks like a nice window of light seas this Sun-Mon and possible Thur-Fri of this week. We may even run the new 55 HOOKED UP II if it gets down from Pt.Pleasant, NJ in time for a afternoon departure out of Cape May this Sunday October 21 on a 24 hour overnight trip. Contact us if interested in joining us or for additional information. If we are lucky we will have Capt Mark DeBlasio with us on the Sun-Mon trip but that is dependent on Mark's schedule and if we can get the boat down from Pt. Pleasant, NJ in time to leave Cape May Sunday afternoon.
