Bahamlure:
Tapping into the thousand year old tradition of the Pacific Islander’s original concept of the trolled lure, BahamaLure
is producing an unique and unmistakable modern equivalent. Using the very latest in modern Hi-Tech equipment and
materials coupled with old school handmade techniques these lures have quickly become some of the most desired
lures today.
Every one of the BahamaLure line was designed and tested in the Bahamas, and has been tuned and balanced to
perfection.

FEATURESEYES
- BahamaLures are designed to mimic squid with their oversized and highly visible eyes. Gamefish can see
the eye at great distances and zero in on it all the way to the bite. The BahamaLure eyes are a high contrast pearl
made in house and give these lures an uncanny ‘live’ appearance. Since developing these eyes the catch rates have
gone wild with numerous reports of marlin and other gamefish repeatedly re-attacking the lure if they miss the first
time.

BALANCE - BahamaLures feature a keel weighting system whereby the counterweight is placed directly below the
center hole. This gives the lures incredible stability, even in the roughest sea conditions they will remain upright and
will not roll. There are three advantages - a) the lure will not pull on it’s side or upside down, even the symmetrical
heads. Coupled with the big eyes this ensures the lures appear alive at all times, no squid or bait fish swims on it’s
sides. b) Using the lock behind the lure head the hook rig may be set at a desired position with the hook point up,
down, left or right. This is even true of the un-slanted lures and can only be achieved with a keeled lure. c) no line
twist as the lures do not roll over.

Attachment 122733

CONSTRUCTION - All production BahamaLure components are matched and against their original masters to
ensure they are all first generation reproductions. Though ‘hard’, the resin heads have a softer durometer than glass
and will not split, crack or shatter even when a fish thrashes one against the fish box. The shell decoration is Paua or
oyster shell from Hawaii. All the steps of production are done entirely by hand with every piece receiving equal care
and attention to detail.

COLOR - or a change of color is the basis of BahamaLure’s color schemes. A squid changes color when attacked so
all the lures have more than one color in them to mimic this color shift. The eyes are always a high contrast to the
base head color to ensure they are highly visible. Iridescent pearls make the eyes appear real and three dimensional.

ATLANTIC BEACH — One man remains in critical condition at Pitt County Memorial Hospital after the 20-foot sportfishing boat he was piloting crashed into a concrete piling on the Atlantic Beach high-rise bridge around 4:15 Tuesday afternoon.

Passengers Larry Lender and Anson Jacobs sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation has been turned over to N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission officials and no details were available as of presstime.

Investigators are not sure what caused the boat to hit the bridge. The boat carrying the fishermen was traveling west on the Intracoastal Waterway in Bogue Sound.

According to scene commander Atlantic Beach Fire Chief Adam Snyder, the operator was impaled on the steering wheel column on the boat’s console as a result of the impact.

Beth Henry of Atlantic Beach, who had come to the rescue command post set up in the Channel Marker Restaurant parking lot, said her husband Keith was returning by boat from a hunting trip on the western end of Bogue Sound and arrived on the accident scene within minutes after the crash happened.

“He called me from his cell phone saying he was at the bridge, there had been a terrible accident and he had pulled some people from the water,” she said. “He said it was bad.”

According to Mrs. Henry, her husband, a local Scout master, is trained in rescue and first aid and may have been able to offer some assistance to the injured men before rescuers arrived.

A joint rescue effort by Atlantic Beach and Morehead City fire and rescue departments had rescuers staged on the bridge above the crash site and on the water in rescue boats.

Teams on the bridge lowered equipment needed by rescuers below to separate the injured boat operator from the steering column and to address his injuries.

EastCare medical rescue helicopter was called in and waited for the injured man on the lawn of Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City.

Meanwhile a Coast Guard helicopter also arrived and circled the area offering assistance with flying the injured boater out, if needed.

The injured operator and two passengers were transferred from the damaged vessel to rescue vessels and then were brought to shore where they were transferred to ambulances waiting at the docks behind the Showboat Motel on the Atlantic Beach causeway.

One lane of traffic was closed temporarily for northbound traffic to Morehead City and was reopened shortly after the rescue was accomplished.

Fire Chief Snyder (this dude is on the BALL)said the joint rescue operation between his department and Morehead City Fire and EMS went extremely well and pointed to a recent training exercise that likely proved timely.

“No less than a month ago we had spent three days practicing water rescue at or near the high-rise bridge,” he said. “One of the scenarios included in that training was exactly this type of incident. The execution of this rescue went perfectly.”

When are roller guides appropriate on a rod. Most of our rods have rollers on them. Some are all rollers others just have a roller tip and a roller guide closest to the reel. Is there an advantage to have all roller guides?

HONOLULU — The U.S. Coast Guard suspended the search for Devin Johnson, a 23-year-old fisherman last seen early Friday morning approximately 60 miles west of the Big Island.
The Coast Guard notified the family and officially suspended the search at 7:30 p.m. pending any further developments.

Air crews aboard a Coast Guard C-130 long-range search plane and HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter were on scene at first light Sunday morning and searched throughout the day.

Also searching today were air crews aboard a Navy P-3 Orion fixed-wing aircraft and SH-60 Seahawk rescue helicopter from the Navy’s HSL Squadron 37. Both aircraft are based at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe.

A search directed from the Coast Guard’s 24-hour Honolulu Harbor command center covered more than 8,000 square miles — an area nearly twice the size of the Big Island.

“It’s always difficult to suspend a search,” said Capt. Barry Compagnoni, the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port, Honolulu, and the senior-most Coast Guard officer responsible for directing the search.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Devin Johnson’s family, friends and loved ones during this tragic time. We saturated the search area with as many assets as we could bring to bear and it is extremely unfortunate we were unable to find any sign.”

Searchers on scene today reported weather conditions of seas of five feet and winds from the southeast at 25 mph.

Anyone with further information about the missing man is asked to contact the Coast Guard at 808-842-2600 or via VHF marine band radio channel 16 or the Hawaii Police Department on the Big Island.

I LOVE BASEBALL.....PLAYED FOR YEARS FROM LITTLE LEAGUE TO PONY LEAGUE AND HIGH SCHOOL.....I PITCHED...NEVER WAS REALLY GOOD AT .....FASTBALL WAS MY MAIN MENU...

I LEARNED A FEW THINGS THOUGH AFTER MY BASEBALL DAYS....THINGS I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAUGHT WHEN I WAS YOUNG.....ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN ANY SPORT IS ....S-P-E-E-D. IF YOU HAVE SPEED THERE IS A SPORT FOR YOU.

TAKE FOR INSTANCE THE CATCHER. IF HE HAS GOOD "GLOVE -TO- SECOND BASE SPEED" AS IT IS CALLED .....HE WILL BE NOTICED...AND IF HE CAN FIRE THAT BALL TO THE BAG AND THROW RUNNERS OUT HE WILL BE RECOGNIZED.

SPEED. I ASK MYSELF...DO I STILL HAVE THE SPEED IT TAKES TO PLAY IN THE MAJORS? DO I STILL HAVE THE SPEED IT TAKES TO WORK A PROFESSIONAL COCKPIT? IS MY REACTION TIME FROM ONE ROD TO ANOTHER STILL FAST ENOUGH TO MAKE THE TEAM? ADMITTEDLY I AIN'T 26 ANYMORE...BUT.... THE BEAST OFFERED ME THE PIT ONCE AGAIN ON THE RUN-OFF FOR ONE MORE SEASON 2010.....:D

YOU BE DA JUDGE HERE....HERE IN THIS VIDEO FROM BLOODBATH HALLOWEEN WEEKEND 2009, I AM ABOUT TO CHANGE OUT THE BAIT ON THE SNIPER PLANER ROD.....WHEN A WAHOO PILES ONTO THE LEFT LONG....NOW PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE LEFT LONG AREA FOR YOU WILL SEE THE EXPLOSION ON THE BAIT......I AM FOCUSING ON MY TASK AT HAND....NOW LISTEN FOR CAPT BRIAN TO HOLLER OUT "LEFT LONG LEFT LONG"!!!

:DMY GLOVE TO SECOND BASE SPEED?????.....I MEAN THE REACTION SPEED FROM MY SNIPER ROD TO THE LEFT LONG ROD IN THE CHAIR ONCE BRIAN MAKES THE CALL?????? A MERE 1:03 SECONDS.........MY MOVIE PROGRAM GIVES ME THIS MEASUREMENT....FLASH GORDON MY ASS....WHAT ABOUT FLASHBOX?

DID I MAKE THE HOOK-UP?? .......UHHHH NOPE....I MISSED HIS ASS.... OR RATHER THE FISH MISSED THE HOOK....BUT I WAS THERE....NO DILLY DALLYING....NO SITTING AROUND FINGER UP MY ASS ....NOW BOASTINGLY:o.... I FEEL I AM JUST AS FAST AS FLASH GORDON HIMSELF.....YEP I MISSED HIM ON THE LEFT LONG... BUT I WAS A BLUR MOVING TO THE ROD! AND THEN THE EL CAPITANO PICKED HIM OFF ON THE BRIDGE POLE.

ARE YOU FAST ENOUGH? :D THE HESITANTCY OF ONE AT THE MOMENT OF THE FIRST SLIGHTEST ROD BEND MAY COST YOU A FISH.....THE HORROR OF THAT! BUT THEN AGAIN, I HAVE THE BEAST UPTOP......
