NO RESERVE!! 23' Pontoon boat party barge great boat!! Vehicle Description NO RESERVE!!!!!! AS ALWAYS! 1994 SUSQUEHANN 23' PONTOON BOAT. Hello everyone, what we have here is my personal pontoon boat, I have owned it for three years and have decided it's time to move up to a bigger boat. I bought the boat from a friends father, who had in turn bought it from the original owner. This old gal has spent it's entire life on the fresh waters of the North East and Elk rivers at the head of the Chesapeake bay. It has made many a trip to the local sandbar where it has been a sanctuary for several of my friends and I. The pictures were taken earlier this month, we decided- to take her for one last cruise to the local dock bar. We were the only people out that day and we brought her back in the dark. That shows the confidence we have in this craft. This boat is a 23' foot open deck. The seats were in pretty bad shape when I bought the boat so I removed them and we used lawn chairs. She has such a smooth ride we never even fastened them down. The pontoons are in great shape! they are a 9 out of 10.They are dirty now but clean up fantastic. No dents or scrapes. The plywood floor looks great from underneath and feels very solid. The carpet is in usable condition but looks pretty worn. No major rips or tears though. The nav lights work as they should. There is a duel battery switch and two batteries that hold a charge well.There are two 6gal fuel tanks. The rail around the boat works great to hold dogs and kids safely in place.We have two labs and they love to go for a boat ride!!! The rail has a slight bend in the bow but it's not too bad, look at the pics. The helm came loose so i put a couple 2x4 cleats down and it is sturdy now but it isn't very pretty. I pealed all the vinyl off of it and it is just bare wood. Same with the aft storage covers. they work but aren't very pretty. The gauges worked at the begining of the summer but now do not work. The motor is a 1996 force 75 horse. In 1995 mercury marine bought Force so this motor was built by mercury. It runs good. When I had the boat commissioned this spring it was having a stalling problem. It was recomended to me to have the carb cleaned. After starting on the carb upon further inspection we discovered the motor needed a few other items to make sure it was reliable. All in all we replaced 1) One of the reeds was chipped, replaced with a set of Boyesen Power reeds. 2) Low resistance was found on two coils on the stator, replaced with new. 3) New plugs and wires. 4) New impeller 5) Three magnets on the flywheel showed signs of rust behind them and one was broken, replaced entire flywheel with new. 6) Carb was cleaned and rebuilt. 7) Cooling water jets flushed and pressure checked. Good. 8) New zink on motor. 9) New prop. New prop shows some minor dings, it is not bent, 9 out of ten condition. 10) New fuel line and primer ball. Long and the short of it, if i'm going to have a boat i'm going to make sure it runs! I spent about $2,000 getting the motor right and it ran great all summer. If you want to hear it run or if you really want to go for a spin, i will take you out. Like with any old two stroke if it has sat for a few days you need to choke it and advance the throttle to start it. Once it is warm it starts on the first spin of the starter!!! Not sure how fast the boat goes. feels like about 20mph. Tilt and trim work great. Steering and shifting work as they should. The trailer isa 1995 EZ Loader, free from anything more then very minor surface rust. It is galvanized. It was treated to a bearing repack last summer and it was used to go 300 miles round trip to pick up a pontoon boat for a friend of mine. At that time the lights worked and but i haven't checked them since so i'm not sure of there condition. but if they worked last summer it shouldn't be too much to get them going if you need them. I have never needed to put air in the tires in 3 years so they should be good. The tires show good tread and look like they will make a trip. the wood bunks on the trailer will make a trip but parts of them could use some attention in the future. The hand crank and strap are in good usable condition. All in all the trailer is about an 8 out of 10. Good usable condition, I wouldn't hesitate to pull it anywhere. Check the value at www.nada.com they list the low values for the boat at $2,150 motor $330 trailer $445 for a total of $2,925. However this is a no reserve auction! Boat is sold as is where is, NO WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED! ALL TITLES ARE IN HAND FREE AND CLEAR!!!!! LOOKING IS FREE, PLEASE COME AND INSPECT BEFORE YOU BUY!!! LOCAL PICK UP IF FREE!!!
