15 ft Hand Crafted Chester Yawl Vehicle Description NO RESERVE â?? Similar boats sell for twice the price. This bid is for the building of a hand made 15 ft Chester Yawl rowboat. I hand build traditional dinghies, kayaks, rowboats and canoes from exotic marine graded woods such as mahogany, teak, and cedar. Please email for website address to see all the boats I build. The Chester Yawl is a traditional working craft typically used in the early 19th century. Its efficiency was critical to move payload from larger boats to shore or between different points in the harbor, hence the beautiful streamline and wineglass shaped transom. Considered the touchstone of small craft elegance it is certain to turn heads no matter where you go. It usually takes me six to eight weeks to build a Chester Yawl from scratch. I use genuine marine graded mahogany for hull, bulkheads and seats, teak for rub-rails and skid. All hardware is brass. My building process is lab-stitch, fiberglass reinforced bottom, epoxy sealed blanking. The finished interior is usually protected by six layers of heavy marine varnish. The exterior is pre-coated and toped with two layers of marine Polyurethane. A down payment of 50% is required prior to commencing work. Full balance due upon completion and inspection of boat. Laser Sailboat - new equipment, dry boat, ready to sail Vehicle Description I'm cleaning out the garage and its time to hand this boat to a new owner. Up for auction is a used Laser. It has scratches and blemishes and its not the boat you are going to use to win the next district championship. However, if you are looking for a clean, well equipped laser to keep on your beach/at your cottage and sail for fun, this is your boat. I bought this boat three years ago because my sons were sailing lasers in sailing class. We live on the water and I wanted one to keep in our backyard. I spent 3-4 months finding a solid, dry hull with no mast step issues. When winter came I moved it into my heated garage and went to work. I stripped all the hardware off the boat and threw most of it away. I buffed off years of oxidation and polished the hull until it shines. I fixed/filled multiple scratches and dings. Then I put it back together with just about all new hardware. When I put it back together I upgraded hardware where legal. All the old plastic fairleads were replaced with aluminum fairleads. All the plastic cleats are now aluminum. I replaced all the rubber pieces (like the "W" shaped piece at the front of the daggerboard trunk). I added Harken cam cleats and a Harken ratchet mainsheet block. A new, padded (color coordinated) hiking strap. I replaced all the lines. The daggerboard was kind of beat up so I bought found a nearly new one (the rear tip of the board is broken off - less than 1/2"). I bought a brand new sail, boat cover and closed cell foam mast blocks. I bought a board/rudder/line case to hold everything. The boat is completely ready to go. That spring I also found my kids a Hobie Getaway. They love the Getaway; don't particularly care for the Laser. The Laser was never launched. It sat for the past two years unused, so its time to sell it to someone who will use it. You will see the boat sits on a Seitech dolly. The dolly is not included with the auction, however if you are the successful bidder I'll sell it to you for an additional $225. I think that is half the price of a new dolly. Local Pickup is the only option. I will not ship.

15 ft Hand Crafted Chester Yawl Vehicle Description NO RESERVE â?? Similar boats sell for twice the price. This bid is for the building of a hand made 15 ft Chester Yawl rowboat. I hand build traditional dinghies, kayaks, rowboats and canoes from exotic marine graded woods such as mahogany, teak, and cedar. Please email for website address to see all the boats I build. The Chester Yawl is a traditional working craft typically used in the early 19th century. Its efficiency was critical to move payload from larger boats to shore or between different points in the harbor, hence the beautiful streamline and wineglass shaped transom. Considered the touchstone of small craft elegance it is certain to turn heads no matter where you go. It usually takes me six to eight weeks to build a Chester Yawl from scratch. I use genuine marine graded mahogany for hull, bulkheads and seats, teak for rub-rails and skid. All hardware is brass. My building process is lab-stitch, fiberglass reinforced bottom, epoxy sealed blanking. The finished interior is usually protected by six layers of heavy marine varnish. The exterior is pre-coated and toped with two layers of marine Polyurethane. A down payment of 50% is required prior to commencing work. Full balance due upon completion and inspection of boat.
