upper james flatheads

Many think the james is just blues but most don't know the sheer numbers of large flatheads they say the biggest flathead caught in the james was 31 pounds that is about half of the real record. From riverville to the falls is good prime is from huguenot flatwater to the lower end of pony pasture. There are many deep holes but most water is less then 8 feet try the pools below the rapids with live baits.
Bait.
The bait fish in the area are vary mixed you will find shiner,sucker,carp,grass...

striped bass

From the time of the first settlers came to the east cost in the 1600s the striper has bin there lively hood. The striper is as a recreational fishery is worth 1.5 billion dollars as a commercial fishery it is worth 200 million dollars. Many think it should be made a game fish witch would ban all commercial fishing for striped bass it has bin done in new hampshire,maine,south carolina,new jersey, and connecticut. I am personally for this because if the commercial fishery is gone the wreck fishery...
