Kawasaki with DIESEL! You'll spend less on fuel in the long run & go farther on each tank.

the mule is a good rig, lots of fun to drive. the air box hooked into the snorkels isnt very watertight, it tends to leak water if its submerged. good low end bite, but it pegs out pretty quick unless you remove the governor

i run a john deere gator 5 days out of the week at work. we use it every single day to run around the property, ours has the hydraulic bed. we dump countless loads of rock, mulch, dirty, haul all kinds of shit, and tow trailers with it. it has hundreds of hours on it, and never 1 time did it NOT start.
we beat the hell out of it on a daily basis. works great. has a locking rear for when its needed. we've ripped bushes/shrubs/small trees out with it. but if i had to chose something for outdoors stuff, that mule is kickass, the complex down from us has one, and its the heat. they have a wench, all that good stuff JEsse

Jesse the only thing you didn't mention is the Gator is absolutely friggen useless in snow
I have a deisel 4 X 6 Gator and I thought it was the best thing since Carolina boats until I tried to use it to go through 6"s of snow and it would even move. I am in the market to sell the gator and get a Mule, but I am watching the info on this thread closely for first hand advise.

No Doubt
I had to solve the same problem. I owned a ranch for ten years. We had hills, mud, the whole deal. After my research, I went with the Kawasaki Mule. Went with the gas. Loved the diesel but didn't like the noise. If I was going diesel, I'd also look seriously at the Kubota.
Another real plus with the Kawasaki is the availability of after market parts. Life kits and oversized tires really make a difference. With the Mule you've got plenty of power and a very cool transmission to handle it. I would also recommend the 4x4. Good luck!

Well I almost pulled the trigger on a slightly used Yamaha Rhino 660. Guy is unsure if he wants to really sell it.
I'm gonna go check out a 4x4 Mule this week. Decisions Decisions. -D

Personal choice i guess!!!!!
I have a Trans Mule 3010, 2 BBB's, and 2 2-wheel Drive Golf Carts!!!! I use them all for something!!!! Mule mainly in the summer to put out corn and do work, and to haul back Larger Bear or Deer to Camp!!!! BBB's for hunting when wet, and all 4 golf carts when dry!!!!!!!!!! I use them all day to take hunters to and from stands!!!! Electric Golf Carts are not made to get wet...I dont care what anyone says... Watch out where you spray when cleaning out mud!!!!!!
