There's life, big life!

A certain SFC member just got in from one of his commercial outtings. As bycatch they got a 63'' BFT and one bigass thresher.

I'm sure he'll add more details when he gets back to a computer.

By the way.. There's 64 days till day one of OBMST..you should have gave that fish CPR, fed him a lil bit, and told him we'd be back for a visit in a couple months, I thought I knew you better than that!

dunn wants details....

After a good week long blow we finally made it back out to the gear south of the vineyard. After several sets of crab infested mayo we finally found a string with some fresh monkfish. While picking through the set the captain saw a nice soulette coming from the deep....TUNNNNAAAA. Being all avid rod and reel guys we go excited to find a fresh day old tuna entangled in the net. Continuing on the string the gear started coming hard thinking it was a change of the tide we battled bring something up from deep. Now another image appeared about 50 feet down looking like a basking shark. Low and behold it was MR BIGTALE. A beautiful fish in the 400-500lb range with a monster whip. Great seeing these fish this early that shoal. Water temp was hovering around 50 with a 48 degree edge 2 micros to the south. So get ready its only a matter of time before they (sharks and tuna) are here in steady numbers.

Codfish gave A LOT of clues. I'll guess S of the SE corner of the dump, down by the E bound side of the shipping lanes (just below the 40'30). Did I win? Any other guesses?

How were the seas? This weather pattern is relentless.
