Whether you're having turkey or ham, we at Bay Flats Lodge wish all of our friends and customers a happy and healthy Thanksgiving Day. We give thanks for all of your kind support.Friday afternoon the lodge welcomed 24-guest in for a mix of blast & cast, and the weather couldn't have been any better for the last weekend of the first split. On Friday we had 3 groups fishing and 1 party duck hunting in the afternoon. Everyone caught plenty of fish and shot ducks.

Saturday morning the lodge was very busy with 6-groups duck hunting. Wow, the weather worked out perfect for one of our busiest weekends this duck season. All the groups did great. The majority of the birds we shot were redheads, pintails, teal, and gadwalls. Our private farms were eaten up with gadwalls, while most of our pit blinds were busy with the traditional widgeon, redheads and pintails. Also known as the Texas Trio.

Sunday our groups averaged 4 birds per customer for the 4-groups we had out. What a way to end the first half of duck season
