Capt. Ted reported the cod charter today for Douglas Plumbing, LLC from Farmington Ct met with some challenging weather conditions which forced a decision to go another direction but the group aboard enjoyed a beautiful if not a somewhat sporty day on the water. All hands aboard had a great time despite finding the cod to be slightly elusive. Nevertheless the anglers aboard did manage a mixed bag of both the pelagic and ground fish variety that included alligator bluefish, scup of varying sizes but some of the platter variety, small sea bass, a nice keeper cod, small hake, good size ocean perch and the not so elusive cape sharks.Capt. Ray reported a good day of local porgy fishing despite some tough conditions. Not as many super size scup as previous days but plenty of keepers to go around with 15 to 35 keepers per person and a fair amount of keeper sea bass. Next scup trip sails tomorrow morning at 8am aboard the Admiral Frances.
