There is a handful of anglers fishing Graveling Point again. Beach walkers are interested in what is going on. It's fishing! I think it is just a nice place to be and there is a chance at just about anything. From the one report I have heard, there are some kingfish and blowfish and the occasional bluefish being caught at the point. If you attempt a trip from the bank, do not expect much as it is more an excuse to wet a line then put a fish on the bank.
Info is tight on the ocean going scene. It's been mostly a lack of effort these past couple of days.
Kingfish and Blowfish action still holding strong after the storm in the stakes on the Mystic Island side of the fish factory. It's still the best bet for bay anglers.
Ocean going folks who want action are working the croakers over and I hear tell of an occasional school of spike weakies on the ocean. Most folks moved off of the weakfish as they are real spikes and they didn't want to damage a whole lot of fish. They said there really isn't much sport in catching a nine inch weakfish and felt it was better to leave them alone.
