Slick calm seas and screaming drags.This was an exceptionaly nice weekend down in Venice. The weatherman nailed the forecast and the Yellowfin played the game. Bait was a breeze, which is actually a benifit of the storms. Tuna crack seems to be everywhere. Billy did well on Tuna and Grouper on Friday and Peace and I did well on Yellowfin over the weekend. The fishing is getting really good again. The Tuna seem to be gourging on the tuna crack as one that I cleaned had 8 little hard tails in his belly. You know what they say about greed. He was actually hooked on both lines and came to the boat in 5 minutes.
Cypress Cove Lodge has reopened as of late last week. They also have the store back open and the restaurant hopes to be back up and running this week. Venice seems to be almost back to normal. The road, of course, reopened last week.

We have openings most of the week and would love to fish. Give us a call to bring home some tuna steaks.
