Bil and I took Eddy Claycomb out for a combo trip..all things lined up..tuna were biting butthe cobia were scarce..we ended up with 8 yellowfins and one fat cobia and 2 mangroves..water has been off on the shelf and we covered alot of ground looking for lemons..never did we see any on the surface but we tried live bait, chum and jigging..lots of effort but little return..tuna were alot easier..we probably could have sunk the boat with tuna but with one angler 8 is enough.we had 5 in the box when we quit fishing for them but 2 came off the troll while looking for white marlin and Eddy caught one on a topwater popper which is his favorite..fishing is off the charts right now since there isnt anyone really fishing - private boats or charters.
