August 29th at 1201am I turned 40 years old officially..plan was to go down to Venice to prepare for hurricaine - birthday party would go on hold like in 2005..the warhead had only been pointed on us for a few days already and we had plenty of manpower so we werebnt concerned..we took the night off and went swordfishing..with 30 minutes soak time we had two fish on..Kieth Dufour and Ian McGowan on the rods..Ians fish pulled off 20 minutes in while Kieth's ran for bottom and came to the leader 45 minutes later..a fat 120 pound fish about 60 inches.its nice to have two fish on and I remember thinking abck to that point what a great deal it was..firends fishing with a box of popeye extra spicy, cold beer and cigars..flat calm too..could see every star..amazing time..we took a few pics and made three more unsuccessful drifts before heading home just so we stocked up on propane and charcoal..we may run off to the Cklarks lakehouse and go on mini vacation..boats were moved out yesterday and we boarded up the lodge a 2 days ago.tired of it honestly..watch and wait and hope for the best!Look at the maw on that thing!
