Independence Sportfishing California Fishing Report 9/14/08

Hello to all, what spectacular fishing we had on our latest 5-day trip. Things have definitely improved over the last several weeks. Our Jackpot winners for Purfields tackle were: 1st place Scott Linkletter 82.6 Yellowfin, 2nd place Robert Worthington 56.2 Yellowfin and 3rd place 41.2 Yellowtail, Honorable mention goes to Scott Ocheltree with an 86.0 Yellowfin. We are certainly looking forward to having all of you back again next year. Good fishing guys….. We departed San Diego yesterday on a 5-day Young's Tackle special. As for today things started off on the slow side, but as soon as we found the right area, things changed rapidly. We had outstanding fishing for tuna today, as we had the whole boat bent for hours. We are on the move to a different part of the ocean for tomorrow, so please wish us luck, good night, Jeff, Kyle and the Indy crew
