Hey the weather boys finally got something right.
Looks like a washout for today. Might be a good day to get all that gear together for the fall season. Bass and blue fishing was pretty good up until yesterday. Did have a little action off the jetty yesterday a.m.
This should really cut the beach up and leave us with a mess of cuts and pockets along the surf line. This will give the bait somewhere to hide and the bass and blues somewhere to ambush them from. Hopefully this will keep the fish close to the beach rather than offshore with the boats.
Yesterday was Ray's birthday. He turned 21 so he is finally legal. He will be in on Saturday so feel free to call him and harass him. We all know how much he loves to answer the phone. You can even sing happy birthday to him ( he won't know who you are) and make him feel special. Grumpy gave him the best gift when he left town yesterday.
Speaking of Grump he will start his first full day of pelican fishing today.
I will be building another Seeker prototype rod in the near future ( another new blank). The other one can be tried any afternoon just bring your own reel and plugs and give it a whirl. Nine people have tried it and six placed an immediate order. I put an emergency order in with Seeker and they have started the first production run of this blank. I should have them in hand in a few weeks. At present we are the only ones with this blank.
If you come to the store today wear your waders you will need them. Paul told me this morning a couple guys stopped by in their kayaks. Guess we should put up a bulkhead for them to tie up to.
Even in the rain its still Happys Tackle……….Mike
