And it is lookin' good - Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. The wind dropped out overnight which will help calm the surf down and clean it up.
The lower end of IBSP has been a popular place to be with the high water over the last few days so that is where most of the fish have been caught. Blues are the center of attention and mullet is the bait of choce. We have plenty of fresh Mullet and Bunker in stock. Bring your poppers and metal and have a little fun while soaking a bait. The North Jetty continues to produce Blackfish and we heard of some keeper Bass off the jetty yesterday but they didn't get on the scale.
Saturday weigh-ins:
John Augustine - Blackfish - 17" 2.8 lbs on a sandbug
Ed Barnett - blue - 18" 3.0 lbs on mullet
Mike is off today and it looks like he has the new Seeker prototype rod with him! He will most likely claim he is "testing" it but I think he has bonded with it. We had a very positive response from the customers that tried it so we ordered a production run of them. Maybe when we have some in the shop, he will keep one here for a demo?
Grumpy hisself
Little does he know the rod is in the shop hanging up, hiding in plain sight. He wouldn't know it if he saw it. Try it out……………..Mike
