We get a break in the real hot weather today - Partly sunny and breezy. Highs in the mid 80s. West winds 15 to 20 mph. There is a front moving through today that will cool off the rest of the week. Sometimes a cold front moving thru will trigger a good bite. There is plenty of bait around so keep your eyes open.
The only news for Sunday was small Blues. There was a good bite early morning in IBSP that faded into some scattered hookups and the rest of the day was pretty quiet.
The NJ Beach Buggy Assoc hosted their annual "Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs" Kids Tournament and it was attended by about 110 kids. I had a bunch of them stop in the store on the way home and there sure were a bunch of happy faces. Thanks for the good job NJBBA!
Mike was nowhere to be found yesterday. I know he was searching for his wandering mind but I suppose it takes a lot of time when you are looking for something that small!
Grumpy hisselfGot out fishing with Capt. John on the Debora Ann yesterday didn't see much happening on the bass and blue fishing so we anchored on a very small wreck inshore and it was non-stop sea bass action with ling and some conger eels mixed in. We also had some fluke.
Grump thinks my mind wanders if he only knew I'm just not paying attention to him!!!!!
The 10' surf prototype rod has been finished. I hope to try it out soon. If anyone is interested, bring in your reel and take it up to the beach for a few minutes and try it out. Bring your own plugs also. The rod is made for throwing poppers and wood swimmers. I want some feed back……………..Mike
