YET ANOTHER DOUBLE DIGIT SEPTEMBER DOORMAT ABOARD THE FLUKE BOAT!!!Capt. Mike did it once again folks!! Some say the third time is the charm but now it's the fourth time this season that Capt. Mike has successfully steered Frances Fleet anglers into serious double digit fluke territory!! Today's giant fluke was the year's biggest checking in at 13.5 lbs and 32 inches!! The giant doormat was carefully and skillfully brought to the net by Bill Smith of Windsor, Ct and Capt. Paul swiftly placed a net underneath the slab in one quick swoop!! Nice fish Bill! Truly the fluke of a lifetime! This fluke now firmly holds the honors of the biggest fluke of the 2008 season so far for the Frances Fleet and in case anyone needs a reminder all four of top four fish are 12lbs or better! As for the rest of the day it was a slow pick of all fluke except for one bluefish. Po from New York had 5 nice fluke to 6lbs to bring home while Nick from West Harrison, NY took home 3 jumbo fluke today of 7,6, and 4lbs. There were a handful of other good fish in the 5 to 7 lb range. All in all for nearing mid September the action ranks as quite satisfactory! Next 7am trip sails tomorrow aboard the Gail Frances.

Capt. Chris reported scup fishing was slow today. Some nice fish were taken but not in the numbers of yesterday or the trips prior to the weekend. Capt. Ray will be out tomorrow aboard the Admiral Frances and hopefully today's slowdown with the scup was just a one day anomaly.
