September 13, 2008Several boats fished offshore today and caught white marlin (2 per boat average), several dolphin, a few yellowfin tuna…yep, they do still exist, and a very nice wahoo. Curtis White weighed a 54.9 pound wahoo that he caught aboard the "Victory Lap". Great job, Curtis. The "Canyon Express" had 2 beautiful ( 40# range) yellowfin tuna along with a bunch of dolphin and 2 white marlin releases. Hopefully those tuna are the start of some good fall fishing out of Virginia Beach. The "Wired Up" and the "High Hopes" also had 2 white marlin releases and some dolphin. Way to go, guys! We do have a few boats that are scheduled to fish tomorrow, so I'll keep you updated.

We had 3 boats fish offshore today and a total of 21 white marlin releases. Wow! The charter boat "High Hopes" and the charter boat "Git R Done" each had 6 releases and the charter boat "Canyon Express" had 9 releases. Great job, fellas! There was also some good dolphin fishing mixed in there as well. All of this phenomenal billfish action that we have had lately has been in the Norfolk Canyon or just above the Canyon. Several boats are out today so we're hoping to see a bunch of flags flying in Rudee Inlet this evening. Stay tuned….. Charter boats are available for you to get in on some of this incredible marlin fishing. Give us a call to book your trip. 757-428-2111
