Here are a few fish and nonfish(horsesho crabs double header caught off the surf. Dan and Ann brought in a few more bluefish today on cut mullet. Dan said the key to catching the blues is long casting. There are also some spot around at the beach too. The catch of the day at the beach was a 23 inch flounder caught off a mullet rig. Tonight Mr. Bruce Dowd's sister in law caught a nice croaker 2+ pounds. In the bay the fishing has slowed tremendously. Capt. Wayne had some throwback flounder and some other fish too. We are waiting for the wind to switch and the fishing to pick up.
Capt. Glenn Clawsen with his first ever citation flounder 7.8 caught bayside aboard "Daybreak" with Capt. Craig Banks who put him on the fish… Mr. Rol took the picture no camera magic here just a nice doormat congrats.
Chincoteague is back to being slow around here. There is plenty of room to enjoy the serenity the island has to offer. If you would like it is a good time to browe our large selection of rods and reel. Just tonight I helped a few people match up some surf combos to fit what they want. The shop is a good place to hang out and take in all the local knowledge. That's about all for tonight. Tight Lines… Jimmy
