As I write this, we have 3 tropical systems in the Atlantic basin one, Hanna is predicted to impact our coast as early as Friday. Despite this storm, the weather has been absolutely beautiful the last few days and today was about as perfect as you can have with a light north wind, low humidity and a gentle ground swell. We are catching a lot more Flounder now than we have over the past few weeks and the Jim Caudle Reef and the sand bars by Waites Island have been great places to catch fish. The tide over the last couple of days hasn't been right at the Jetties for Redfish and Trout but they are definitely still there. Above are some photos from some great trips recently. Tommorrow I plan on scouting some of the grass flats that are flooded from the extreme high tides in search of tailing Redfish in the morning and the afternoon will be spent pulling my boat out and getting ready for Hanna. I'm scheduled to be back out on the water Sunday and will hopefully have something good to report. Until the storm passes and the tide turns, I'll catch you later.
