The storm that blew threw on Thursday dirtied the water and slowed the fishing some but the last couple of days it has started picking back up. The huge Redfish are still lurking around the inlet but the bite has been sporadic at times, it seems they bite one day and then you just catch one or two the next. The Speckled Trout fishing in the Intracoastal is really picking up and live shrimp under a float will quickly get bit if any fish are in the area you are fishing. I like the "Run and Gun" approach when targeting Trout in the fall, if I have not gotten a bite within 8-10 cast it is time to move. Today David Simpson caught a nice 6.5 lb. Speckled Trout and topped that with an 8.5 lb. Sheephead. He and his friend Sandy caught several more Trout, 1 Redfish, and quite a few small Bluefish. We never really got on that "Hot Fall Bite" but caught fish at just about every stop and had a great time anyway. I hope that they will e-mail me the pictures from today since I forgot to put my camera on the boat this morning. Things are starting to heat up so give me a call to reserve your trip. Catch you guys on another tide.
