We scouted a couple of flooded grass flats yesterday and found pushing and tailing Reds but the draft of my bay boat made it impossible to get close enough to catch them. Chasing the shallow water fish is a job more suited for my flats boat or my favorite way to pursue them is to wade. We ended up catching lots of Spanish on Topwater Plugs out by the Little River Sea Buoy, overall still a super fun day. Today we were greeted with a stiff Northeast breeze and chilly tempertures. With all the Redfish that we have been catching out at the inlet I still wanted to try the Jetty's even though I knew it may be a little rough. It wasn't long before the "SpotTails" started biting, big ones, the largest ones of the year. We picked at the fish until the tide turned and then the Flounder decided to bite a little bit. We enjoyed catching 5 or 6 more of these before it was time to call it quits and head in. Tommorrow, I plan on targeting the "Big Reds" at the inlet and then wading a few of the flooded flats in search of "Tailers". With all this going on it is hard to imagine that the best is yet to come, but it is. Catch you guys on the next tide.
